This program is specifically designed for children who have witnessed domestic & family violence and are no longer living with the perpetrator. The Parent/Carer also needs to be receiving counselling themselves either here or elsewhere. The information session will inform parents of the effects of domestic & family violence on their children, as well as informing the parent about the program offered. Essentially, there is a three step entry procedure to the program:
- Attend the information session (please contact CRDVS for the next scheduled session).
- A confidential interview between the parent and the children's counsellor to assess the suitability of your child/children for the program.
- A getting to know you session for your child, with the children's counsellor.
